Richboro True Value Makes an Impression in Pennsylvania
November 08, 2018
From September 22-23, Dan McLaughlin and Chad Flood held a memorable grand opening for their newest branch store in Richboro, Pennsylvania. Highlights included a live performance by the beloved Philadelphia Mummers String Band and a meet-and-greet/photo signing with local celebrity Bernie Parent (former Philadelphia Flyers goalie with Stanley Cup wins in 1974 & 1975!)
The 8,000 sq. ft. DTV store hosted a lively celebration that included giveaways and raffles for a Weber grill, power washer and cordless drill along with a pallet of merchandise from the Allentown Regional Distribution Center. Kids joined in the fun with face painting and balloon animals. True Value’s director of retail finance Mike Block, regional director Paul Bernard and retail consultant Craig Stiles also came out to support the new business and welcome customers.
The owners were thrilled to see this day arrive after facing an unexpected hurdle: finding asbestos in the floor of the Rite Aid space they took over. It could’ve really set them back, but they didn’t let it bring them down. Instead, they persevered and even managed to open ahead of schedule!
Support from True Value’s merchandise assortment consultant, senior project planner and the rest of the team really helped get things in motion. Chad and Dan are thrilled about the great turnout and results so far.
Congratulations to the Richboro True Value team!
