Burney True Value Expands to Seven Lakes

March 30, 2018
On March 23, the Ransdell family opened their second DTV store in North Carolina. Burney True Value Hardware of Seven Lakes spans 6,700 sq. ft. and features a convenience lumber assortment, Stihl outdoor products, and a very popular service department.

Jim and Kristy Ransdell’s son Sam, a 2015 Young Retailer of the Year, handled the building and store build projects. One key takeaway from the grand opening was the importance of planning early and confirming “all hands on deck.” These efforts paid off, as the weekend yielded almost 900 sales transactions, happy customers and even happier owners.

The celebration featured baby chicks, a tent sale, hundreds of Spin-To-Win wheel prize giveaways and 20% green bag discounts. The store also held a hardware-inspired “chain-cutting” ceremony in lieu of a ribbon-cutting, attended by local business officials as well as RM Tim Hanna and RC Jamey Atkins.

Congratulations to the Ransdells and the Burney True Value Hardware team!
