Stanley’s True Value Hardware: Inspired Stewardship in Philadelphia

December 04, 2017
Last month, the Share Food Program honored Mark and Terry Jaconski, owners of Stanley’s True Value Hardware, with the "Apple of our Eye Friend of Share" award. Share is a non-profit network of community organizations devoted to food distribution, education and advocacy.

A longtime True Value member and icon in the Philadelphia community for four generations, Stanley’s is known for their charitable contributions and generosity supplying materials to renovate Share’s warehouse. The store’s excellent team is constantly involved in these efforts, supporting Mark’s belief that “helping people enjoy healthy food is so important, and that’s what Share does every day. This is a really special place.”

Five years ago, the Jaconskis expanded their 2,800 sq. ft. neighborhood store into a 10,000 sq. ft. Destination True Value Best Hardware Store in Town showpiece. In 2016, they added a DTV branch in Oreland, Pennsylvania. Their dedication to customer service and local organizations and charities illustrates how much impact a local business can have. Besides the Share award, the city of Philadelphia also recognized Stanley’s for their water conservation initiatives.

Congratulations to the Jaconskis and Stanley’s True Value Hardware!
