Longenecker's Hardware: Still Going Strong at 80
November 30, 2017
Longenecker’s Hardware of Manheim, Pennsylvania, recently celebrated 80 years in business. Since its humble beginning in 1937, the store has grown to 47,000 retail sq. ft. and two warehouses. Aligned with True Value since 1962, Longenecker’s has been owned by partners Mark Foreman, Phil Martin and Steve Ober for the past 18 years. Their combined 75 years of experience prioritizes serving customers, supporting their 70 employees, and contributing to the local community.
Longenecker’s truly values sharing the wealth, giving $20,000 in annual donations and scholarships as sales have grown. And with over 100,000 items available, the business truly lives up to its tagline "more than just a hardware store." Customers are particularly fond of their unique events, from Ladies' Night and a Fall Fashion Show to a people-sized Bargain “Doghouse.”
Congratulations to Longenecker’s Hardware on this major milestone and here’s to many more years of growth!
